In 1959, I began a series
of observation of 61 Cygni in an attempt to see the motion of the
double star system against the background of more distant stars.
Thinking I would detect this in a few years, I drew only a few of the
closest stars within the field of view of my telescope. When I
returned to this in 2002, 61 Cygni had moved so far, I couldn't
determine the original stars of the field of view in 1959-60. The other two items were a star graze near the moon, and an eclipse of a satellite of Jupiter. |
