Alexander Low, son of John Low and Elizabeth Cloudsley, was born 6 July 1830 at Kirkhill, Dun, Forfar- shire and was raised at Dun. He apparently left home by the time he was 21, for an unknown location. He was a blacksmith in Dundee at the time of his death on 19 March 1896. Cause of death was reported to be Cardiac Disease (6 months) and Pleurosy (10 days).

Jessie Crichton was a daughter of James Crichton (ID=457), Ploughman, and Margaret Thoms (ID=458), and was born at Dundee in 1824. She died at Dundee on 17 May 1891 the cause of death being recorded as Broncho Pneumonia (12 days).

In 1855, this family was living at Georges Place, Dundee.
