Notes for William Carr Low
William Carr Low, son of William Hunter Low and Isabella Rennie Carr, was born 27 December 1869 at Dundee, where he was raised. In the early 1890's, William was a tailor in Glasgow. Birth registered at St. Andrew, Dundee.

William moved to Australia before 1895, where he met and married Beatrice Hill. About 1902, the family moved to South Africa, then returned to Australia about 1905. They moved to Vancouver, B.C. in 1911 where they appear in the census of that year. Then about 1912, they moved back to Australia where they finally settled in Henty, New South Wales.

In 1918, he and his family were living at Iron Street, Henty, New South Wales. In 1922, they were at Jones Street, Henty. In 1930, they were at Allowah, Culcairn, Albury, NSW. In 1936, they weree at 600 Jones Street, Albury, NSW. William was living with his daughter Jean at Ivar Street, Henty, N.S.W. in 1943. He died at Henty, N.S.W. on 5 November 1944.
